Jurgen Klopp Finally Conquered Wembley- Jurgen Klopp as the manager of Liverpool has a bad record in Wembley. In the past, he lost in some crucial matches in this stadium. As we know, Jurgen Klopp was popular because of his management style. He can bring the mediocre clubs to the popular club. Basically, He can raise the club by maximizing the potency of the players and proved it in Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool. As the manager of Dortmund, He gives Bundesliga trophies in 2010/11 and 2011/12 and became the main challenger of Bayern München at that time. As the Liverpool manager, he gave UEFA Champions League: 2018–19 and Premier League: 2019–20 to the Merseyside clubs.

With some trophies he gets, there are some scars in his career as Football Manager.  One of the bad records was in the Wembley stadium. He had 2 losses in the 2 finals of the EFL League Cup and the Champions Leagues Cup in 2012/2013.

Losses in Champions League Final

His first nightmare losses came when he became the manager of Borussia Dortmund. At that time, He faces Bayern München managed by Jupp Heynckes. This final was held on May 25th, 2013, at Wembley Stadium, London. He was defeated by Bayen Munchen through the last-minute goal of Arjen Robben in 89 minutes.  In this match, Bayern Munchen lead in first by Mandzukic (60th minutes). Dortmund then equalized scores by the goal of Ilkay Gundogan (penalty). Arjen Robben then became the hero at this match at his goal on 89th minutes.

Meanwhile the heavy losses at this crucial match, Jurgen Klopp received the compliment from the expert, pundits, or reporters of football. Basically, all people praise his achievement. With the modest players, he can bring this team to the final. Dortmund can defeat Real Madrid, Ajax Amsterdam, and Manchester City and became the fists rank at Group Phase.  This journey continued with their success to defeat Shakhtar Donetsk, Málaga, and Real Madrid. Until their achievement was stopped in the Final.

Losses in League Cup 2015-2016

After Jurgen Klopp resign from Dortmund at the end of the 2014/15 season, he then became the Liverpool manager after Brendan Rogers was sacked from Merseyside Club.  In the first season, he struggles to advance the quality of Liverpool. With the legacy of players from Brendan Rogers, he then guided this team to the League Cup Final in the 2015-2016 season. Liverpool losses to Manchester City through a penalty shootout.  In the final 90th minutes, the score was 1-1 with Manchester City having an early lead with Fernandinho in 49th minutes and the Liverpool equalized it in 83rd minutes by Phillipe Coutinho.

Liverpool lost in the final by a penalty shootout after Phillipe Coutinho, Lucas Leiva, and Adam Lallana failed to execute the penalty and just Emre Can succeed with a penalty.  This final was held on February 28th in Wembley Stadium, London. This marked the second Jurgen Klopp failure in Wembley.

The Success in League Cup 2021/2022

After the 2 losses in the previous match in Wembley Stadium, he guided Liverpool to the Final of the League Cup on Sunday, February 27th, 2022, on Wembley Stadium.  He succeeds this time. Liverpool beats Chelsea through Penalty Shootout. They win in 11-10 on penalties after Kepa Arrizabalaga fails at the penalty shoot-out. The League Cup was the next trophy for Liverpool in the Jurgen Klopp era. As the Liverpool Manager, Jurgen Klopp has given Champions League trophy (20180/2019), Premier League trophy (2019/2020), UEFA Super Cup (2019), and FIFA Club World Cup (2019).
