1. United States of America (USA)

In 2021 the United States became the country with the biggest turkey meat production in the world. Based on data from the FAO Statistical database, turkey meat production in the United States reached 2,5 million tons and became the biggest one among other countries in the world.

In this country, there is a major area of turkey meat production. The area includes the states of Minnesota, North Carolina, Arkansas, Indiana, and Missouri. Based on data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), in the State of Minnesota, there are about 40 million turkeys slaughtered and processed, then North Carolina with 31 million turkeys, followed by Arkansas with 30 million turkeys, Indiana with 20 million turkeys, and Missouri with 16 million turkeys (USDA,2020).


2. Brazil
