This country has abundant production of Palm Oil. Many of these countries have used this palm oil to fulfil domestic consumption and some of the production can be exported to other countries.  Many people use palm oil as cooking oil, Soap, Consumer goods products (Soap, shampoo, and others).

1.Indonesia

Indonesia still becomes the biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Palm Oil from Indonesia reached 42,869,429 tonnes. Geographically, in Indonesia, there are some provinces as recognized of major palm oil production areas. Statistically, these provinces include Kalimantan Barat, Kalimantan Tengah, Riau, Sumatera Selatan, Kalimantan Timur, and Sumatera Utara.

2.Malaysia

Malaysia is the become the 2nd biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. Statistically, according to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Palm Oil in 2019 from Malaysia reached 19,858,367 tonnes. Geographically, In Malaysia, some states that become the major production of Palm Oil. The states that have huge production of Palm Oil in Malaysia include Sabah, Sarawak, Johor, Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu, Kelantan, Selangor.

3.Thailand

Thailand is the 3rd biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Palm Oil from Thailand reached 3,040,000 tonnes. Geographically, in Thailand, there are some major areas of Palm Oil production. Statistically, these areas include Surat Thani, Krabi, Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phangnga, and Ranong.

4.Colombia

Columbia is the 4th biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According FAOSTAT, the production of Columbia’s Palm Oil reached 1,527,549 tonnes. Geographically, in Columbia, there are some places that the palm oil plantation can be found. Some of the plantation of palm oil are in Meta, Santander, Casanare, Magdalena department/ regions.

5.Nigeria

Nigeria is the 5th biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Palm Oil from Nigeria reached 1,220,000 tonnes. Geograhically, Ondo State, Edo State, Ogun, Akwa Ibom, and Ebonyi are some of the regional areas in Nigeria that become major production of palm oil. 

6.Guatemala

Guatemala is the 6th biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. Statistically, based on FAO Statistical Corporate Database, the production of Palm Oil from Guatemala reached 880,000 tonnes. Geographically, in Guatemala, the major area production of palm oil can be found in Peten, Izabal, Alta Verapaz, and Escuintla departments/ regions.

7.Honduras

Honduras is the 7th biggest producer of Palm Oil. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Palm Oil reached 707,000 tonnes. Geographically, in Honduras, there major area production of palm oil. These ares include Colon, Cortes, Yoro, Atlantida, and Santa Barbara regions.

8.Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea is the 8th biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database, the production of Palm Oil from Papua New Guinea achieved 578,000 tonnes. Geographically, In Papua New Guinea, there are some major production areas of Palm Oil. These provinces include Oro, West New Britain, Sandaun, Milne Bay, and New Ireland.

9.Côte d’Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire is the next biggest producer of Palm oil from South America. Statistically, the production of Palm Oil from this country reached 510,000 tonnes.  Geographically, in the Cote d’Ivoire the major area production of palm oil can be found in Aboisso, Abidjan, Sassandra, San-Pedro, and Soubre.

10.Ecuador

Ecuador is the 10th biggest producer of Palm Oil in 2019. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database, the production of Ecuador’s Palm Oil reached 420,000 tonnes. Geographically, In Ecuador, there are some major production area/ provinces of Palm Oil. These areas / provinces include Esmeraldas, Los Rios, and Manabi.
