1.United States of America

The United States of America became the biggest producers of Blueberries in 2020. According to the FAO Statistical Database in 2020, the production of Blueberries from this country reached 294,000 tons.Genetically, There are some varieties of blueberry cultivated in the United States. These varieties are lowbush, northern highbush, southern highbush, rabbiteye, and half-high.

Geographically, Based on the USDA database in 2019, there are some states in the USA that become the main area of Blueberries. Some of the states are Georgia with 21 thousand acres of harvested area, Michigan with 20 thousand acres of harvested area, Washington with 16 thousand acres of harvested area, Oregon with 13 thousand acres, North Carolina with 8 thousand acres, California with 7 thousand acres, and Florida with 5 thousand acres.   

2.Peru

Peru became the second-biggest producer of Blueberries in 2020. According to the FAO Statistical Database (FAOSTAT) in 2020, the production of Blueberries from this country reached 180,300 tons. Geographically, Blueberry production in Peru is in the La Libertad region on the north coast. Genetically, Ventura and Biloxi are some of popular variety cultivated in Peru

3.Canada

Canada became the third-biggest producer of Blueberries in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Database in 2020, the production of Blueberries from this country reached 146,370 tons. Geographically, most Blueberries from Canada are cultivated in British Columbia.

4.Poland

Poland became the fourth-biggest producer of Blueberries in 2020.. According to FAO Statistical Database in 2020, the production of Poland’s Blueberries reached 55,300 tons. This country is still the biggest producer and exporter of Blueberry. Agronomically, The High-Bush Blueberry is one of the cultivars that planted  in Poland

5.Mexico

Mexico is the 5th biggest producer in 2020. According to the FAO Statistical Corporate Database in 2020 it reached 50,293 tons. Geographically, Major blueberry production area concentrated in the state of Jalisco, Michoacán, and Sinaloa. Statistically, these states has huge production of Blueberries.

6.Spain

Spain is the 6th biggest producer in 2020. According to the FAO Statistical Corporate Database in 2020, the production of Blueberries from Matador country reached 48,520 tons. Geographically, the production of Spanish Blueberries comes from Andalusia with the Province of Huelva still the biggest area of Cultivation. 

7.Portugal

Portugal is the 7th biggest producer in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT)  in 2020, the production of Blueberries from Portugal reached 15,420 tons in 2020. Geographically, Some of area of Blueberry in Portugal are the southern region of Odemira south of Lisbon

8.Germany

Germany is the 8th biggest producer in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT) in 2020, the production of Blueberry from Germany reached 11,300 tons.Geograhically, Lower Saxony is the centre of German blueberry cultivation and more than 70 percent of national production comes from this bundesland.

9.Netherlands

The Netherlands is the 9th biggest producer in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT) in 2020, the production of Blueberries from Netherlands reached 9,200 tons in 2020.

10.Australia

Australia is the 10th biggest producer of Blueberries in 2020. Statistically, the production of Blueberries from Australia reached 7,059 tons. Geographically, Blueberry production centred around Coffs Harbour in northern New South Wales and ther Other areas include Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.
